GHRCCA has been established through a partnership with SIG leadership and former SIG student interns from the Central Asia region, and extends the SIG mission globally. GHRCCA and SIG share key leaders and faculty, and a cross-cultural learning approach: lessons learned in domestic and international projects influence each other and shape new and innovative approaches to community research design and methods.
Social Intervention Group (SIG)
SIG employs social and behavioral science to address the public health issues of HIV and co-occurring problems such as substance abuse, intimate partner violence, and trauma. SIG offers training to research scientists, faculty, and practitioners in the United States and abroad on the science of intervention research in global health. SIG works to develop effective intervention models and disseminate them to local, national, and international communities. Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy (ISERP) ISERP works to produce pioneering social science research and to shape public policy by integrating knowledge and methods across the social scientific disciplines.
